Every year on January 6th, the Greek community in Tarpon Springs celebrates the 12th day of Christmas and the anniversary of Jesus' baptism with a toss of a white cross into Spring Bayou, to be retrieved by a lucky 16-18 year old. We went this year and it was quite an event. Unfortunately, we couldn't get close enough to get really good pictures (see crowd pic above.T) but..... the attached article and associated slideshow (Click here) explains the whole thing much better than I can.
